The world’s Craziest Christmas lights
The world’s Craziest Christmas lights
As the festive season rolls nearer by the day, you may be idly wondering where you put your Christmas lights. To cheer you up while you try and find them, and then while you attempt the annual untangling, we thought we’d show you some of the world’s most crackers Christmas lights.
Now, we ought to warn you… If you prefer the minimalist yuletide approach, look away now. This collection of Christmas luminaire excess is not for you. But if you’re a bauble enthusiast who goes absolutely bonkers with the decorations on December 1st, read on.
Having said that, your twinkling festive cheer will probably never match up to Mark and Kathy Hyatt from Florida. Last year, a week off work and 150,000 lights produced this…

The decorated palm tree is good, but the laser display is an absolute triumph. And if you’re thinking “Only in America…”, this next one is from Berkshire. If you don’t want to risk a stray airplane confusing your street for a runway, how about a concentrated indoor display of Christmas lights and baubles? This chap in Bristol has the right idea.

We reckon he’s having a “How many Santas?” competition with the owners of this house in Gelkheim, Germany.

According to our count, England-19 Germany-14 (and Santa’s missing a couple of reindeer). Hey, we won!
