Many artists have combined lighting techniques with other materials to either create an image or send a message, Rashad Alakbarov is the perfect example of this. Others have taken natural light and used it to their advantage to create sweeping walls of colour, Miami Airport is a great example of how well this can work. Using crystals in lighting can have a similar effect on a much more subdued level by casting rainbows around a room.

The suspended light trend really came into its own in 2015 with manufactures experimenting with shapes, heights and more. One particularly design that is proving popular is the wave-like suspended light. Whilst this may be difficult to re-create in your home, you can buy smaller versions of this trend that work well in a dining room or kitchen, much like the Arrow 8 light crystal ceiling pendant light.

The chandelier as we knew it officially transformed towards the end of 2015 & is set to take 2016 by storm. Moving away from the classic crystals, suspended beads and gold or silver gilding, it now makes use of new materials, shapes and colours to create small pieces of art that can add class, creativity and artwork to any room.
