Description
The SDCOMP is a rotary companion controller for the Hamilton LEDSTAT Wi-Fi dimmer system, designed to add a second or third dimming position to a circuit already controlled by the Hamilton LEDSTAT Smart Wi-Fi LED Dimmer Module. It clips into any compatible grid plate using standard two-wire wiring — no neutral wire required.
When paired with the SD250MW master, the SDCOMP enables true multi-point dimming: every switch position can independently switch the circuit on or off and adjust brightness. Up to two SDCOMP units can be added per circuit, giving full rotary dimming control from up to three positions — ideal for staircases, rooms with multiple entry points, or open-plan spaces.
The companion inherits app and voice control from the master module. Schedules, scenes, and Amazon Alexa or Google Home commands configured on the SD250MW apply across all positions without any additional setup.
Supplied as a module only. A compatible grid plate with rotary dimmer aperture is required separately. The switch plate must be connected to earth.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Does the SDCOMP work without the SD250MW master?
No. The SDCOMP is a companion-only device and must be wired alongside a compatible master — either the SD250MW, L-SD-INLINE-250W-WIFI, or L-INLINE-250W-RF. It cannot control a circuit independently.
Does the SDCOMP need its own Wi-Fi setup or app configuration?
No. The SDCOMP has no Wi-Fi module of its own. All app control, scheduling and voice commands are configured once on the master SD250MW — the companion automatically follows the same circuit without any separate setup.
