ES and E27 light bulbs are amongst the most commonly used bulbs in the home. ES describes the type of fitting, which is known as the Edison screw. These bulbs have a threaded base and screw-in design for use with compatible fixtures. E27 light bulbs have a base which is 27mm wide, and they are popularly used in a range of domestic lamps and light fittings.
